Biography

Dr. D. M. Raphael was born in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. She is the oldest of three brothers and three sisters. Dr. D. M. Raphael was introduced to Christ at age 4. She attended church, prayer meetings, and was often on multiple ministries. She suffered with Epilepsy for 10 years. The Lord used Deserae despite the condition. She pursued singing on the choir, dancing on the praise team, evangelism, and church theater. She believed God would heal her from her condition and God did.

Dr. D. M. Raphael had dreams of becoming a singer as a young adult.   After a brief tragedy, she turned her heart to another passion – Children.  Dr. D. M. Raphael received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Temple University and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Wilmington University and a Doctorate degree from Argosy University in Educational Leadership. Her educational career consists of teaching Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade, operating as an Early Intervention Specialist, Elementary School Counselor, Early Childhood College Instructor, and Case Manager.

After 20 + years of professional education, Dr. D. M. Raphael could not negate her original calling. She still wanted to pursue her passion for song writing, evangelism, theater, dance, and writing books. Currently, she is the author to of the children’s interactive book “I Like The Way God Made Me”, Kingdom Kids Handwriting Workbook, You Are So Blessed! (Women’s Edition). She is also the producer and writer of the song “Sound the Alarm” by D. M. Raphael and Your Presence by . D.M. Raphael. She is the CEO of Sound The Alarm LLC, an Inspirational Teacher , Creator of Prophetic Collections Clothing Line and the blessed mother of her only son.
